Presenter:

Pastor Charles Lee Dinkins

Rev. Charles Lee Dinkins has over thirty (30) years of preaching and community ministry experience. Since 1995 as Founder/President and CEO of Hosanna Community Foundation, Inc., a non-profit community outreach organization, he has come to the aid of inner city youth and their families in various areas of need. Rev. Dinkins has led HCF from a church youth group to a viable community mobilization family outreach program serving several hundred families annually.

In July 1998, God used Rev. Dinkins as a result of HCF activities and gave birth to Hosanna Community Baptist Church. The church started as a mission work meeting in Lincoln Fields Apartment (Section-8 Facility) with sixty youth and twenty adults. Through the help of the Lord, he has leaded the church to build its first sanctuary which was completed in August 2007. Rev. Dinkins as a pastor, father and community preventionist desire to see young people reach their full potential and uses both Hosanna Community Foundation and Hosanna Community Baptist Church as he pursues his work in ministry.

Several of HCF programs include: The Youth Achievement Project designed to equip youth ages 6 to 18 with practical academic and social skills needed to become productive adults. Anti-Violence Summer Camp which is a summer camp geared to preventing youth gun violence. Hosanna Learning Center an early childhood learning center serving children from infant to five years old. HCF is one of eight centers comprising the Service Network for Children of Inmates of Miami-Dade. HCF serves central Miami-Dade and through the Service Network provides assistance to children of inmates and their families. The services range from assistance with daily needs, individual and family counseling, bonding trips, support groups and reunification/reentry assistance. He also provides leadership for the Urban Partnership of Miami-Dade County Coalition a Drug Free Communities Support Grant recipient September 30, 2015. It is the collaboration of these efforts, and community partners that Dinkins created the “Urban Partnership of Miami-Dade County Coalition (UPMDCC). UPMDCC uses Prevention Science models to address substance abuse, low academic proficiency and youth (gun murder) violence within its coalition boundaries. The project’s strategy addressed prevention at the direct service, policy/advocacy and environmental strategies levels using behavioral health concepts to develop a comprehensive community plan to improve the wellness of children and youth.

Rev. Dinkins has several degrees to his credit:
Master of Ministry from Jacksonville Baptist Theological Seminary, Jacksonville, FL
Master of Public Administration from Florida International University, Miami, FL
Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Southern University, Baton Rouge, LA

Rev. Charles Dinkins is the proud father of Princess Me-sha Nicole Dinkins and lead servant at Hosanna Community Baptist Church, Miami, Florida serving in the office of senior pastor.
